I shined a flashlight through the cowl screen to look at the back of the wiper motor. When it is "parked" the arm is pointing straight at the VIN plate on the dash. I pulled out a working motor from my parts box and the arm on that one is pointing the same way. As you probably know, the shaft that the arm attaches to is on an eccentric (which does the parking). That shaft, as you can see in the picture, is rotated over in the same direction as the arm is extending. Hope this helps. BTW, be sure both the switch and the motor are grounded well if you're testing them out of position. Otherwise, the motor won't act normally (like reverse to park).
