As some of you know my Wife and our family Suburban was the victim of someone running a red light.
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=90996.0
I was really pleased on how it protected her! So I'm wanting to replace it with another one. Sorry Ma Mopar doesn't make a Suburban style/roomy vehicle.
I just thought by off chance someone on here might know of a real nice clean used one? Like a neighbour or family member getting rid of one?  Unless it's a REALLY sweet deal don't flood this post with CL adds as I'm already looking online, mainly Autotrader.com and E-Bay?
I'd like to keep it under 20K and the usual like low mileage( under 100K) , mint condition etc....  I really like the styling of the 2006 and newer ones but would also consider an older one with low miles? I had  one with a 5.3L but this time I think I'd like one with the 6.0L for a couple of reasons.... one the 5.3  comes with the 4L60 tranny and in stock form it is know to be an issue with less than 100K in miles. Mine went and it was expensive. The 6.0L comes with the 4L80 and much better tranny. The second reason is we tow a 30 foot travel trailer and I found on big hill I'm have my foot almost in the oil pan trying not to lose speed.
( underpowered)
I understand that it will be a little more on fuel but that's the way it goes.... ya wanna play ya gotta pay so to speak.  But with that said I wouldn't rule out a good deal if it had the 5.3 either.
Looking for one from a salt free state . Last one came from Texas. Location is not important for the right deal. I'd fly in or drive to get it.
Also would really prefer the second row seating to be buckets and not a bench. I have 3 boys and it's just easier with the bucket seats.
So far this one has caught my eye?

The boys like this one though...?

This needs to happen soon, like in the next week or two?
Thanks all for your support especially the moral support!

Have you checked out cars.com ?

There is a million of Suburbans on there, I suggest avoiding the newer ones.    :money:

You might want to check out http://www.autotempest.com
It searches the major auto sellers (cars.com, autotrader, eBay, CL, etc)

All the 6-Liters I see are 4x4s   Here's a '95  about 100 miles from me  Every thing else is higher miles or price or 5.3L

Thanks guys for all your help. I bought a 2007 with more miles than I would have liked but I didn't have time to find a "cream puff". The wife seems happy with it, and it will do for now. I haven't quite got it home yet it needed a few touch ups with the paint that the seller agreed to pay for so it's at the body shop now. Pick it up next Thursday. It's nice looking, black 2007 LT loaded , black leather guts, NAV/DVD  etc
I was determined to only spend what I had in cash, NO PAYMENTS! :nono:  So I did the best I could with what I had?

Ya , but not at first. I had to get a little "nasty" with the adjuster. I got 17K for the old one
