The New SAT
« on: March 12, 2005 - 05:42:00 PM »
Hoo boy. Took the new SAT today, wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but boy-oh-boy, writing an essay at 8am on a saturday is not fun. Also, the new 3hr, 45min legnth is killer compared to the old 3hr 15min.

All in all... I have to wait one whole month to find out my score. I found out a week later for the old ones- I guess its because they have all of these essays to check. ::)

The ACTs are easy, I took them at the end of my sophomore year with hardly any sleep from the day before and got a 27, I would have taken the test again to get above a 30, but saw no need to. My only advice is to get a good amount of sleep before the test and make sure you have the correct calculator, also I had a couple of friends that took a practice test and they said that helped, so you might want to look into that. Good luck.
