I would believe that as a typo...again, would have to be backed up by the Broadcast sheet. :2cents:

What car are you talking about ? As a E63 383 4 barrel was available on `Cuda's and Gran Coupes for 1970, this would not be out of the ordinary to find that engine code on either, and these were available on Hardtop and Convertibles in `Cuda's and Gran Coupes. :2thumbs:

So would that mean that this tag is fake? It has an E63 on a 71 Convertible.
P.S. THis is not my tag just an example of a E63 on a 71 Car.

I am not sure what would have happened to them, the 1971 E65 383 N code 4 barrel is the HP version of 383's, the E63 is the same N code equivellant for 1970 too. The E61 was the number shared by both 1970 & 1971 for the L code 383 2 barrel cars. Looks like Mopar just decided to add a 400 anyway they wanted, just for confusion sake. :lol2:

Duh....I know the 400 wasn't available in an E Body :screwy: ....E63 was a 1970 code for 383 4bbl. if it showed up on a "N" code Cuda in 1971 it was probably a factory typo like I said...the number should read E65.

What i'm really asking is this.  IF you find an E63 code on a 1971 challenger fender tag, does it necessitate that the tag is fake?  Or asked another way, are there any circumstances where a special order or leftover E63 was put into a 71 challenger?  I don't mean to be hijacking this thread, but i think my question falls under "odd fender tag".  Thanks.
