    I checked a bunch of tags I have records of and all the ones I have show E65 for a 1971 383.  That doesn't mean there's not a real 1971 ebody tag with E63 on it, it just means I haven't seen one yet.  Barry Washington has a TON more records of tags and would most likely know if E63 was a code used on ebodies in 1971.

    Out of the 478 Fender Tags I have records of I can't seem to find any with A47 on it.  This tag has A47 on it and I have never seen that code on an ebody.  Since I don't get in to convertibles much, is this a convertible code?  What is A47 mean on an ebody?

    A47 is not an E-body code, only for B and C-bodys.

    There are so many things wrong w/this tag.

    I say, don't bother revealing more.  He'll just have another made w/most (but probably not all) wrong things corrected.

    I have never seen A62 on '71 Hemi tags...
    and the tag looks really new, so maybe a typo...  :clueless:

    Nothing to do with the VON.

    "A62" is the fairly common "Rallye Instrument Guage Package" - rallye guage cluster, woodgrain applique, variable speed windshield washers and electric windshield washer pump.

    BTW ... love that GF3 Amber Sherwood Green color  :thumbsup:

    I thought the Rallye gauge package was standard on the 71 r/t and therefore the A62 was not called out on the tag.  I guess I was wrong.
