StreetView surprises
« on: March 05, 2013 - 12:29:42 PM »
I was creeping around on Streetview checking out an address that I am sending some Audi parts to, and next door saw this!  I wonder what the sign in the window says?

A friend of mine just bought a house a few months ago down in Florida.  I wanted to see where it was located and what it looked like so I used that street view on Google maps and was surprised to see a 70 Cuda in the driveway from the previous owner.  Maybe someone from this forum use to live there.  Anyways they updated the map recently so it's gone now but I saved a photo just for keep sake.  His house is located on the Gulf side of Florida in St. Pete Beach.  Check it out.

That car in the first picture in nevada is near me, however sun valley is a small community IN reno. Whoever owns that car had better lock it in a garage because that area of reno has the Largest concentration of felons both paroled and those who need to BE behind bars NOW but keep staying one step ahead of the law. That car won't last long sitting out side like it is. They would steal a moped if they saw one, if it is NOT theirs they want it, doesn't matter WHAT it is. A few weeks ago, one of these gems of society carjacked  a NEVADA HIGHWAY PATROL CAR   after walking up to athe trooper who was sitting in his car & asking the NHP trooper a question. he pulled a gun and took the car. he pulled a lady over in it and tried to steal her car when the entire law enforcement agencies showed up. He grabbed the cars AR-15 & shotgun and ended up shooting himself with a shotgun blast to his chest. Turns out he stole the troopers car just to get the weapons inside acording to the investigation and YEP, HE WAS FROM SUN VALLEY. :dupe:

Yeah,it is amazing how the aholes of the world live in what appears to be nice neighborhoods!
I have lived in this house for about a dozen years.  There are families, elderly people and a variety of ethnic people.  The houses are well kept, the yards are groomed, there are no junkers parked on the street, no signs of trouble at all.  A fine family neighborhood with schools and parks within a couple of blocks.  Houses averaging about $500k.

However.... there have been seven murders within 4 blocks of my house in the 12 years.  Every house except mine has been burglarized. Numerous cars have been vandalized or stolen.  A drug dealer has been operating from a house down the block. (we have managed to put a stop to that).  A Meth lab was busted in the garage of the house across the street.

Ya just never know from looking!

I don't if street view is a good thing.   Almost feels like a peeping Tom looking in your window, or big brother if you know what I mean.

A few years ago I was working on my SRT truck brakes when I noticed the camera vehicle drive by my house. A few months later the streetview of my home showed me working on my truck and looking out at the camera!
Now it just shows my blue stealth in the driveway (the cuda hides inside the garage)

the picture of the 71 looks more like a 73/74 , bumper sticks out too much , just has the billboard stripe on it

Could be, but street view pictures often distort images of certain things, like cars. It did something similar to my stealth in the driveway much like that for some reason  ???

Thinking this is a 72-74 because if you zoom in you can see that the grill looks nothing like the 71 and looks like it has single headlight not double. But it could be a 71, all I know is that it isnt mine  :(   :roflsmiley:

Hey tommy, when u said working on te brakes of ur set truck, were u tryin to correct a ridiculous squeal?  My 05 single cab srt had squeaky brakes from day 1, dealer said there was buying wrong with em, but I bought ceramic pads and adjusted the calipers just a shmidge and the squealing finally stopped
