What's the difference between 70-72 and 73-74 manual pedals?

Later years, pedals are rectangle.

Early years, pedals were...trapezoid?

70-71 pedals are smaller (and cost more)

The size and location of the hole in the consoles is different, requiring a different top plate.

Thanks, Jamie. People list different consoles, though. Will the auto console work with the manual top plate, or do both need to be replaced?

You can convert the plastic parts from what I've read.  If you search around you can find threads on it. I think the plastic is repopped now so it might not be worth doing the cutting on original parts any more.

Just need a dremel and a flat and round file!
