So sad, I grew up listening to him, he grew up on Prince Edward Island (where I am from) My grandfather met him before, and from what he told me Bud the Spud was written about his friend Bud Osborne.   :angelwings:

I'm not familiar with him but he's a Hockey fan and that's a good thing.
RIP Tom.  :angelwings:

BTW, Tom,

Once you get to the Pearly gates, can you put a hex on the Blackhawks from winning the Stanley this year?
They're running away from the rest of the league.

This made me laugh, my team is half injured and one of our minor league guys was knocked out cold last night.

I saw Tom at a concert what feels like 4 or 5 years ago but could be longer, he wrote alot of songs about the Ottawa valley. It has to be one of the drunkest small town Fairs I had ever been too. I have a "best of Stompin Tom" album at the cottage I listen too.  RIP.

Just read a blurb about Tom and apparently, if you were the back up band, you had to actually sign a rider that you would stay up until 5AM and drink beer after the show, with Tom. They said his only request of a promoter, was for 2 cases of Moosehead; one for the band and one for him. Now THAT's a Canadian boy and " the boys are gettin' stinko, while the girls are playin' bingo, all on a Sudbury, Saturdaynight" RIP Tom!  :angelwings:  :canada:
