plymouth satellite $5000, is it worth it?

Hey everyone, so I was looking at a 74' satellite for $5000 and had a few pros and cons and was wondering ifnyou guys think its worth the money? Ok: pros-great paint, engine runs great, new interior, has a 440, rides fine (this is what im told)
Ok, cons- master cylinder leak, powersteering leak, bit of bondo by rear window seal, some surface rust patches under the car.
Seem worth it?

Looks pretty decent, I would say if it runs an drives as nice as they say it wouldn't be a terrible deal, but it's also not the most desirable year, I think u could probably take it home around 4200 or so, good luck

The guy actually just drove it up to North Carolina,  from florida and said he had no problems at all with it.

Just look at the new parts on it it's easily worth more than the 5000 bucks he is asking.

I replaced the entire powersteering system, the master cyclinder and brake lines on the challenger last year and it put me back less than 1000 dollars canadian. Including the cost of taxes at the border. I'd negotiate him down ~500 bucks but otherwise I think for a driver this is an awesome deal.

The only thing I'd be concerned about would be the bondo, and what else might be hiding there. If you go check it out then inspect that entire area, from as many sides as you can. Good luck.

when the guys comes back im going to check it it. I will check for bondo with a magnet. I mean for a first car 5G isn't bad at all. I will probably keep it until I have enough for a nice 70 challenger

   I agree with Dave, check it out thoroughly.  Never know what they painted over or bondoed.

From the pics, it's pretty nice.  Just my opinion but I like that darker shade of green on this car vs the lighter shade of green.  It looks sort of like Sassy Grass vs sublime.

That car is begging for some new rims and wide tires out back to give it a nice stance.  With the grill painted black, it I would put custom rims and not stock rims, make it look sort of resto-mod with 17 inch rims, plus it'll handle better than 14 inch rims.  It's a big car so handling would need some help.  Would imagine there to be a fair amount of room for wide rear tires.

Price somes ok, like someone mentioned, not the most desirable year but those cars look ok with the front end painted a darker color so they don't stick out so much.  Be sides the master and power steering pump leak, if it's a get in and drive it kinda deal, it's not a bad deal.
