Check your headlight fluid!!
« on: March 08, 2013 - 12:57:20 PM »
I was checking my headlight fluid this morning and noticed my muffler bearings were bad. Anybody know what size I need??

That looks to me to be about .005 of a rod in diameter, but it's been more than a fortnight since I looked at the reference so I might be wrong.

They are same size as 8 3/4 carrier bearings, I changed last week, muffler still looks good so it was worth it.

:dupe:as long as your doing that you should check your carburetor fan and blanker fluid.  It's also very common in these vehicles to have flux-capacitors that are discombobulated

There's no way I'd put a bearing in that muffler...it's shot.  Replace the entire thing.

If you look closely you'll see that that's the very rare Hemi T/A muffler. I don't think you'll be able to find one nowadays, so if will have to be restored.
