That's what I thought, had to ask.

I've got an M1 intake I'm thinking of plumbing for just that reason but there is no really good place to do it besides opposite the carb linkage side.

The brake booster gets it's vacuum from a fitting on the rear of the intake.

The passenger side breather goes to the Air Cleaner, center carb vent, and gas tank vent tube in the trunk.

That's a massive amount of money to pour into a Challenger! I can't imagine what a restoration like that would cost!

All you have to do is ask. I keep track of every penny spent on my restoration projects. :misbehaving:

To date: Total "cash out of pocket" NOT COUNTING the purchase price of the car, or MY labour is $57,119.28 CDN.

If you brought me a rust bucket such as this you could figure on another $12K for my labour. 8)

When I say "cash out of pocket" I actually mean a line of credit :smilielol: The plan is to sell it and put MORE cash back in my "pocket" then I took out.

JUNE 24th 2013 Exactlly 4 weeks in...

Okay...So I'm just over the 90 hour reassembly time mark....
Over the last two days in between jaunts in our pool and the 90*+ heat, I did actually finish up the underside. Clutch linkage, shifter linkage, driveshaft, exhaust etc...

Almost ready to fire up for the first time in over 20 years...

The transmission mount is painted yellow to identify it as a heavy-duty piece (440-6/Hemi).   The rubber in the mount is of a higher durometer aka it's stiffer than the regular stuff

Ditto for the rear axle bumpers - they are larger than the standard ones and the tips of the mounting straps are also in yellow

Looks soooo nice!  Thanks for posting all the pics!

I love seeing all the factory paint daubs and markings.  :grinyes:

Hi Alan, beautiful car beautiful job.  Got a few questions on the exhaust.  I was wondering where you got the exhaust from, how the fit was, and being a fellow Canuck was wondering if you got it from the States, If so, what were the freight and duty charges like?  Also, were you able to install it with the car on jackstands only?  Thanks, Rob :canada:

Exhaust: Starting at the back....

Tips = NOS originals that came with the car.

Resonators/mufflers/over axle pipes (welded) and hangers(4) = Dales Cuda Shop

Head Pipes/gaskets bolts = Accurate Ltd.

Total (not counting tips) was approx. $750.00 all in.

Keep in mind I get wholesale price a DCS and I had these items shipped to Buffalo.

The exhaust fit really nice, and yes everything is done on my back while the car is on jack stands as you see it.

NOTE:I understand Cuda-Challenger.com member ECS supplies an exact replacement exhaust system for E Bodies if you want to go that route.
