Hehe, you turn it into a 4spd and I'll do my best.

I just bought a new house in Calgary before selling my current home so I may be chewing up my new car budget pretty quick if i'm stuck making two mortgage payments this fall lol.

Did you weld the serial number stamp back into the cowl?

I guess you could say that....

I credit Keith Sim for all the metal work.

The complete upper cowl including the VIN sequence number stamping was removed at the factory spot welds to allow the replacement of the firewall.

Once the cowl was removed it was determined that the outer corners need patches. Here you can see the patch the was made from scratch.

This picture shows the original cowl with the original VIN sequence number stamp welded back in place on top of a new firewall.

So YES, I guess you could say that we welded the serial number stamp back into the car, although 95% of the original cowl was retained.

With ALL the pictures posted on my web site, I would agree that this car needed a lot of metal work.
Looking at the pictures....The "green" represents the original sheet metal while the "black" shows all the new replacement metal.

No I'm afraid not....His only "claim to fame" would be several appearances on the early episodes of "Dream Car Garage" . He was shown hand fabricating Jaguar fenders or something and custom bike exhaust, etc....

He's since quite Legendary Motor Cars and has his own shop here in Georgetown.

I just got the call from the body shop and it's ready to be picked up.

Unfortunately it's snowing here today so it will have to wait until Monday....

Then straight into storage for awhile until I can finish up some "paying" customer's cars...
