That's awesome. You've done an amazing job with the car.  :ylsuper: That's truly what an 'artisan' is.  :2thumbs:

I was curious Alan..

Have you ever done your own bodywork in the past or have you always subbed it out?
Multiple projects, I can understand why you send them out now.

I would have painted the whole underside purple.

Funny you mention that. Before having the car painted I took a mini poll of friends and potential buyers. It seems it was unanimous that if you're selling a car in the $50K - $100K range, it better be restored correctly.
The last car I sold to a guy in Germany, his only complaint was that the underside was painted completely.  :banghead: Unfortunately when a "buyer" tells you that, you're best to listen.

The body shop would have preferred to paint everything purple because it would have been easier for them.

Good question....
I have tried body work in the past and NEVER really liked it....All the dust and continuous sanding etc...Back in the early 90's my brother-in-law and I did a couple of Dusters and I learned real quick I didn't like it.

A paint job takes up about 20% of the cost of restoration but makes for over 50% of the presentation. If your body and paint look like crap, the rest of the restoration won't matter. I think it's a job better suited for the professionals.  Specially when your end goal is to sell the car. :money:

That makes sense. He was working on it when it was still in the rough and I saw it. Max treating you OK?

No, Keith never worked for Shawn.
Keith came from Legendary Motor Cars in Milton, then started his own shop. Not sure where he worked before LMC ?
