It's also refreshing to see someone restore such high calilber cars in what looks like a fairly subruban 2 car garage without a lift.

Trick is to keep your neighbours happy...You'll never see any junk laying around outside my property, in fact, after a major landscaping job last year, we have the nicest house on the street. :naughty:

Okay...With the interior done as far as I can go, I thought I would spend a few hours playing with my rear end today.... :grinno: After I did that, I went to the garage and installed a nice fresh 3:54 Dana :drool: in my car :smilielol:

It's painted "OE" style, with the grey dip primer and body colour over-spray, although admittedly, the grey is too "light" in my opinion. The body shop went ahead and painted it without waiting for my colour sample :banghead:

I assumed it was oe as that is what you specialize in. So if they didn't come undercoated they were just primer? I have seen other cars where they paint the underside in body color and I always assumed that was what was under the undercoat. Thanks I have learned alot form your posts so far.

ALL cars left the factory with undercoating in the front and rear wheel wells. If your car was coded for "undercoating" then the entire floor pan was covered....

I'm debating whether or not to undercoat the wheel wells....I find that most buyers go goo-goo for the ultra clean look. :dunno:

One thing you'll find with me and my projects is that I never go on a soap box claiming that my work is 100% correct. I do stuff like paint daubs and orange brake drums because I know some cars had them, and personally I think it looks neat with the Magnum rims....Potential customers go crazy when they look at the car and find all the little hidden details like part number tags and such...but I'll never make any claims to the authenticity... :drunk:

If my paying customers don't want those details added, no problem....

...another thing...The grey on my car is NOT primer like the factory, but a good quality grey paint with a flattening agent.....very durable. :2cents:

Have you ever used Resto ricks undercoat? I haven't but am curious to what it claims to be closest to OEM.
I used Evercoat thru a gun and it came out looking really good.
