Have you ever used Resto ricks undercoat? I haven't but am curious to what it claims to be closest to OEM.
I used Evercoat thru a gun and it came out looking really good.

I've used it on two cars in the past...It's "okay" but a lot of undercoating relies on the technique....I've gotten nice results, but it takes a lot of practise and the proper gun.

I have an expensive Wurth spray gun that works nice...

No..engine is rebuilt, not painted or detailed, tranny is ready, front suspension is about 95% done, front brakes are not even looked at yet....I plan to start working on that Monday....Motor as of lunch time today...

Realized after uncovering it for the first time that the oil pan looks like crap, so I ordered a new one today...we'll see how long that sets me back

Can you elaborate about technique?

I put mine on and it came out great. Didn't seem difficult to do at all.
These undercoat guns sputter material out like an American tourist in Mexico with Montezuma's revenge.

Just referring to air pressure, product/air mixture etc....I haven't done enough to perfect a technique...

My thought about how the factory did it was they didn't give a Rats Behind since cars were coming at them at a fast rate.
So I imitated that to some degree.

Spray it like you're in a hurry, yet make sure designated areas were covered.
Moving the gun at a fast rate etc.

Okay, been a while since I posted. I have 74 hours total into the reassembly along with restoring some of the parts that weren't ready....

I had the front suspension finished, just had to do the front brakes a spindles. Thanks to my friend Greg today for helping carry this out of the basement shop...

Before any of this stuff goes in the car it's to your advantage to have everything pre-assembled like the brakes and stuff...

Got my new oil pan from Summit Racing today, painted and installed and ready to go in the car...

I sent an original water pump out to be rebuilt, I hope I get that back soon...

Okay...Can't wait for the water pump...I'll just get started on the engine assembly without it...

Few more hours in today. I was able to get the complete clutch and transmission together. Working with the details towards the front, but I'm still waiting on a water pump. Hopefully I'll have it before the weekend.

I don't usually work weekends, but this might be an exception...I really want to get this together for Carlisle.
