Okay...Got my water pump and was able to finish the engine/transmission/K Frame assembly...

I can't stress enough how important it is to have everything assenbled before it goes in the car...You will save hours of "leaning on the fender" time...

Next up is the installation....No fancy tools required, no need to remove the bumper or grill....Just lift the front end up high enough using a plain ol' engine hoist and some nylon straps.

No car hoist required :smilielol:

Once it's in place, drop her down and bolt it up. Then all you have to do up top is some hoses, wiring and you're done.
Take me about 20 mins to set up and install the engine.

Let me go pull the motor out again, so I can take a picture :smilielol:

Along the frame, about 3-4 inches in front of the forward K Frame bolt holes, there are holes that I hook my tie straps into. Then I adjust the straps to be about 3 feet long and hook them into the chain on my engine hoist.

Simple really :cheers: The first one I've done this way was in 1993...I had a couple of guys just pick up the front end and carry it over... :roflsmiley: I've done over 20 this way since then...

Awesome work. I've seen folks that used the technique you did here, but I don't think I've ever seen an engine hoist used to lift the front end. What a great idea!!  :clapping: The car looks awesome as well!  :woo:

The brake booster gets it's vacuum from a fitting on the rear of the intake.

The passenger side breather goes to the Air Cleaner, center carb vent, and gas tank vent tube in the trunk.

That's a massive amount of money to pour into a Challenger! I can't imagine what a restoration like that would cost! It looks like you've basically made a whole new car out of a rotten one with all new or repop parts... looks really freakin' pricey, but very nice work.

I really appreciate this thread. You sure know your stuff.
