Hi Tyler,

Car looks great mate.
Are you going to paint out the two grey colours in the cheese grater recesses buddy, i think it will give it that little bit more detail to make the front really pop.
I bet you're looking forward to going for a blast in it soon.

Those don't appear to be 15" rubber!  :naughty:  What brand of tires are they?  Curious to see your new rim choice !  :grinyes:

This project seems to be never ending. I've been driving the car around my neighborhood a little just to work the bugs out and found that my brakes do NOT want to work. After looking everything over, it turns I have too much cam and not enough vacuum for the power brakes. I have a vacuum canister on the way that I hope will help with this problem. If it doesn't, I will probably swap the cam for something a little more mild.

After a few short trips the car decided it did not want to shift into reverse. I took it to a friends shop to inspect and it turns out that the transmission cooler was clogged up severely restriction the flow of transmission fluid. Long story short, the transmission was pulled and completely overhauled with new gears, new shift kit, new torque converter etc.

I got the car back about a week before the annual Mopars only car show here in Utah. I removed a leaf out of the rear springs to bring the ass end down a little and mounted up the new wheels and tires. I think it looks pretty good, but I still would like to lower the rear end another two inches.

The day before the show I finally showed the paint a little love. I used a 5 step process. Clay bar, then rubbing compound, then polishing, then show car glaze, and then two coats of wax. I was literally rubbing on this thing for 10 hours. The final results are just incredible, but I think i'll be sore for a week!
The results must have paid off as I won first place in the e body category. My dads hemi convertible finished in second place.

The car still has a few bugs to be worked out, but it's nice to finally be able to enjoy this car a little.

Gorgeous car there. Congrats on the show win.
If canister is unsuccessful and if you don't have an issue with  changes from factory look under hood. Look into hydroboost conversion. It is fairly simple conversion as long as you have power steering.

It's been a WHILE since I've posted an update on this car. I got married back in 2017 so that obviously changed my priorities a bit, but i'm planning on getting this thing on the road this year. I pulled the car out of storage a few weeks back and brought it to a friends shop to help me get the brakes sorted out, they still don't want to work for some reason. After that, it needs an alignment and then it should be good to go for the summer.
