So are you going with the 1970 EK2 Vitamin C, or with the Atomic Orange that was on the truck?  I kinda like the Metallic Atomic Orange look with the Organisol Black.

Post pics of the process when you can!

I'll probably stick with Vitamin C, even though I like the atomic orange. Im almost 100% decided that im going to make it a cuda clone. I'm slightly worried that with only a black hockey stripe and black tail panel, the car might be TOO orange. I'm toying with the idea of blacking out the sport hood similar to an AAR, or adding a black vinyl top. I considered doing a black billboard instead of the hockey stripe, but I think it would end up bothering me too much since it's not year correct. I'll be sure to add pictures during the process.

You might want to consider keeping the tail panel argent.  It does make a nice accent regardless of the color. It might help dilute some of the Vitamin C.

Did it come with a vinyl top? That would help too.  Maybe even white & black interior.

:iagree: or you could go with a two tone interior of Burnt Orange cloth seats front and rear and Burnt Orange dash, then all the plastics can be Black, like door panels and carpet and such areas. :2thumbs:

Multiple (stock) colors really seem to make these cars stand out.  At car shows, when I see just a mono-chrome color/black interior, I don't spend as much time looking at it.  But when there are several things going on, it makes me want to spend some time and really look it over!

That is what i think too, some days just looking at a Black interior is pretty dull. :walkaway:

I agree with you guys. I grew up going to car shows with my dad, and im afraid looking at a completely stock E body has lost it luster after so many years. I dont want to stray too far from a stock look, but I want to something a unique with the interior other than straight black.

That's a very good question. I have no idea. It's painted purple right now, but has some damage to the corners that need to be fixed.

Where are you located? Even if it has some damage I may be interested, if you are thinking of selling it.

:iagree: Sell the hood to Yellowfin, going by his avatar that is the style of hood he wants to run on his car. This would put a little bit of coin back towards your car also. :clapping:

Have you decided on a colour yet

Once I've decided which hood I want, I'll consider selling the other.  :) As for the color, it's looking like it's going to be vitamin C. My paint guy is ready for the car, I just need to find the time to load it up and take it over to him. I really wish I could find a vitamin c cuda locally to look at in person before the paint starts to be sprayed...

Ask him if he can do a spray out for you on a paint card so you can see the colour first hand, it will give you the best indication next to seeing it on a car of course  :2thumbs:
