Two more questions.

First, does anyone know what sort of modification will be needed to use a 72 header panel with a 71 grill?

And second, will a 71 headlight wiring harness plug into the main 70 bulkhead connector correctly? Or will I need to modify it? I might have a 71 challenger headlight harness laying around, will it be the same as the cuda since they both have four headlights?

The 72 header will work, but the plastic screw retainers will not line up. You can "make something work" pretty easy.

The 71 harness will plug in. I'm pretty certain all the wires are in the same locations, but it's a good idea to double check. :2cents:. If not, simply change the wire location to match the 70 bulkhead.

Good to know, my budget is getting pretty thin and I dont want to have to buy another header panel. Any idea if a 71 challenger headlight harness is the same?

Made a little progress on the motor this weekend. Got held up because I'm not sure I have the right pushrods for these roller rockers.

Hey Tyler, the engine looks nice. What camshaft are you running ? is it a solid or hydraulic camshaft ? Your rocker adjusters look like they need winding down on a fair few of them from the pictures, their is a method for adjusting rocker gear when it is adjustable buddy. :grinyes:

I cant remember the cam or lifter specs off hand, i'll have to look when I get home. I dont think I have the correct push rods in there right now, so I haven't finished all the adjustments. Hopefully i'll get that all figured out this week.

Metal work is almost done, about ready to start stripping off the old paint.

First coat of primer is down so we can check all the metal work. Then we'll be doing more disassembly for the final prime and paint.
