I've always liked the flat look, but I think i'll stick with shinny on this project.

The car made it home from the paint shop yesterday and I am very pleased with the finished product. There are a few details under the hood that could have used a little more attention, but the exterior of the car is amazing. Now the fun begins!

Worked on the back end this weekend. Bumper, tail trim, tail lights, rear window trim, trunk lock, trunk weather gasket, and A01 trunk light all installed. I have a set of 71 tail lights that will eventually go it, but I need to find some new lenses for them. I have a new gas tank and sending unit that im going to install, so the rear valence wont go on until that's done.

The orange steel bumper looks trick ! I'm glad you left the bumper guards chrome...looks "more correct" that way.

I predict now that AMD has brought out rubber bumpers, you'll see them on every second Cuda out there ! :-X

Thanks, i'm really pleased with how it turned out. I've always liked the way painted bumpers look, I just don't have the money to buy them! If I were to do it again I would have welded the bolts in and then smoothed it all. I'm definitely going to have a clear bra installed on the front bumper as I suspect they will be prone to rock chips.

I was going to suggest that, but figured it was a bit too late

Progress has been slow, but I am still working on this thing. I have a brake booster that I had rebuild and now have a few questions. It came with some sort of metal flange and a plastic flange between the booster and the reservoir. I also have this gasket that came in my firewall gasket kit, but I cant figure out where it goes. Is the gasket only for manual brake cars? Can someone confirm that I need all these parts? Now after seeing all the pitting on this booster, i'm wishing I would have found a better one...

General rule of thumb.
These foam type gaskets are "usually" used to seal the interior compartment or trunk compartment(conected to the interior), not only from moisture but fumes as well. With that in mind, there wouldn't really be a need for this type gasket between the master cylinder and brake booster. So I agree with you, it's probably used for a standard master cylinder to firewall set-up
