found 70 cuda, 383, 4 spd in salvage yard today

could not believe it.
I was in my favorite salvage yard today dismantling a 68 mustang fastback for my youngest sons Elanor clone project.
Walking a path I had walked 20 times while going in and out.

Looked over and there 5 yards away, peeking out from under a buick was the unmistakable firewall of a cuda. Heart skipped a beat, could this be the hemi I am looking for

yup, 1970 cuda, 4 spd car. no vin tag, no fender tag, no radiator mount.
Looking around I found the bucket seats nearby and the dash, but no back seat.
I looked in the backs of the bucket seats and sure enough, there was a partial build sheet.
BS23N0Bxxxxxx, which matched the vin stamped in the cowl. 383 car.
Still has a nice 4 spd hump with console brackets and the 4 spd steering column, but pedals are long gone as is the engine, trans and rear end.
Man I love this junkyard more every trip.
Very exciting, still have not seen everything.
I had walked within 5 yards of this car in plain site at least 20 times.

Also located a couple rear ends that could be dana's. Not very familiar with dana's yet, so not sure but I plan to learn.

4C,
They are a Mopar salvage yard DEEP in the heart of 'Bama. The accent will tip you off.  They helped me out with a few odd ball things. These bumper brackets should be do-able.

About that "pink palace"... I have a feeling I won't even get a Milkbone out of April.  :stomp:

4c,
the bumper brackets are still on the car, but are bent severely.
Drivers side is twisted on the end of one bracket, the pass side is bent back about 90 degrees.
are you still interested?
