I would rethink the Alterkation , apparently the turning radius really sucks , you can do a lot the way Brad did it with mostly stock parts ,  I have not found a front end swap that really works 100%

Thanks chryco for the heads up. The info I receave here is appreciated and incredible.

The problem is that I removed the brackets before paint and also the headers were built for that front end so I am kinda in with both feet so to speak.no saying I can't go back to a system like brads which looks like it works great, but I think I will go with it and once I get some real world miles on it decide if it is what I thought it was or go back to a system like brads. Costly yes but to finish the car by next summer I pretty much have to go this route.

Again thanks for the info, the more the better and if you see me going the wrong direction with any of my cars, please by all means try and point me in the right direction.   Thx bruce

Good call on the Alterkation Bruce, . TTI will tell you that the headers that fit the Alterkation crossmember flow much better than the headers for the Old Mopar torsion bar set up. Plus your car is really cool with that big bad Hemi engine and all, the New front end is a trick set up with , more adjustable ,less weight, lots of exhaust , steering and oil pan clearance. and better road feel with a steering rack..The coil overs rides much better and the RMS crossmember with its poly mounts is much stronger than the stock K member.. Reilly Motor sports has been building these for years without any failures . I plan on using a 03 04 Cobra steering rack on mine for a tighter turning radius , but honestly how many times are you gonna park the car at a shopping center. Keep the pictures coming great work

Hey thanks for your input john, you have an amazing build going on. Yeah so your saying after I install the alterkation if I wanted to I could put a 03/04 rack in place of the one that comes with the kit? To get some more radius. Also I am assuming rms will give me the proper springs for the weight of the hemi?

Anyway thx again for input, I will keep the forum updated as I go and also keep an eye on your build as well

Hey Bruce!

Saw this Chally over on FEBO http://www.forebodiesonly.com/forum/showthread.php?9105-426-Hemi-4-Speed-1970-Dodge-Challenger-R-T-Convert-For-Sale-%28WORLDS-SEXIEST-CLONE-!%29 and it made me think of your car.

Really like the red longitudinal RT stripes on this one as it breaks up all that silver and makes a nice matching accent to the interior.
Cheers!

Hey thx tom, yeah I am also  thinking about a bumble bee stripe. Not actually sure what to, sometimes I think it needs something and then I think not but would look nice with the interior. Thx again  Bruce

well I was thinking of ordering the rest of the TTI exhaust, but am wondering if anybody ran into a problem with the 3" pipes with a spring relocation done? Will not be using factory style tips as I closed the holes up about a 1-1/2" on the outside to hide the springs. looking at some pictures it looks like they would be close to but not hit the springs, I will make my own tips later. also not sure about the shock clearance? maybe best to call and ask I guess, but just figured someone here would have some info.  thx bruce

I have TTI 3" pipes on my -71 B-body with springs moved in. Fits very well, no issues.

thx bart, it hasn't been wet sanded or polished yet, body guy will do that in February he said it should look like glass when he is done. hopefully it turns out as nice as yours. I was also thinking of adding some sort of an inner fender just to protect the top side in case a rock ding's it, something like a 8-10" wide piece of plastic or something, have you had any problems like that or am I just going overboard.  thx bruce
