The Ford-style solenoid in the trunk is a smart idea. It keeps the heavy 0 gauge wire from the battery to the starter from always being "hot". From the trunk you got a good 12' +/- run to the starter, and since that wire normally isn't fused, if it rubs through somewhere and shorts with all those amps you could wind up with a nice fire. :22yikes:
:iagree: I use the Ford starter solenoid on all custom wiring applications.

hey, another question is I have the tti 2-1/4" primary headers and will be using TTIs 3' exhaust system. question is which mufflers would you guys recommend? they can come with dynomax super turbos or you can use your own mufflers. I am thinking the super turbos will not be aggressive enough. I don't want open header loud but want it to be pretty aggressive. was looking at flow masters and magna flows, and hoping the one I pick if not super turbos would come in the right size(length). :dunno: again any input is appreciated.  thx bruce

well got some crappy news on Thursday, I e-mailed Jamie just to see if he had a ball park on when my number may come up for the 5-speed. and the e-mail I got back was he couldn't find me on the list. :eek2: he wanted correspondence between myself and him but I explained that I tried to order/e-mail him from his web site and it would not work, so I called and talked to him and ordered it on jan 22/2014. I did however send him a post from here on that day telling you guys that I ordered it just to show him I wasn't trying to pull a fast one. never heard back from him but I am hoping all will be good as I think I would have been somewhere in the 200s on the list then but im sure now it is double that.so hopefully he will e-mail me back with good news next week :banghead:  bruce

Try to get a number out of him on how many he's made, where he's at on his list and how long of a wait are we talking about...Inquiring minds want to know :dunno:

Yeah ok no problem I'll see what he can tell me.

I'm hoping he remembers our discussion about my car and the order, I won't be to happy if I loose a couple hundred spots on the list :swear:   Bruce

I don't understand when somebody would make a a large purchase like this without calling and fact finding befor hand.
There's just too many things I would want to know up front before putting big money down up front.
