Thanks Doug I appreciate it. Love your build as well, the black paint looks awesome and after looking at it, that's why my roadrunner will be black (hopefully as nice as yours). I will load some pics soon, I haven't been working on it to much between traveling and work but now I have to buckle down and get back at it lol.

What do you guys think of this manifold with two edelbrock carbs??. I am not going to be racing the car so not looking to get every ounce of power out of it but for sure I will play with it. the nice thing is it is single plane, factory height and spacing, I have the ray barton single carb intake but man it is quite high, not sure how duel carbs will be on the street never really used that set-up before.

Yeah I hear you but I am guessing preforms ect would have to go sideways? just thinking of a breather set-up

I was thinking if I milled a half inch off the Barton intake It would be enough, I don't think it would affect anything to much. what do you guys think??

I would have removed the center brace from the underside of the hood had I known It would give me about 3/4" but not sure if it would make the hood to flimsy

Thanks Bruce

I would be worth giving the guys at Proform a call before you pull the trigger.

Yeah for sure, I am just doing some tinkering and I think if I mill about a 1/4" off the Barton intake I will have enough clearance, may have to cut the bowl vent in half or may fabricate a real short 90 degree elbow and join each bowl vent together with some holes alone the top.

I really don't want to run 2x4s so ill figure it out

well the mock-up carb and breather set-up is on, made a mock-up tube to connect both vents. I have about 3/4" clearance so if I milled a 1/4" off the intake I should be fine as the engine mounts on the alterkation seem pretty snug, I am thinking that 3/4" will probably be ok though. :jumping:

I got my shaker to work with the Stage V, barely. My next action would have been to space down the k-member 1/2" like what they did with Hemi A-bodies.

Hey Sheldon, yeah I guess 1/4" shims would be easy if I needed.

 :iagree:

They can be modified just like Holley's.
Many say they are easier than Holey's to re tune.
