well went to the show in new hamburg and the wife brought home a 1969 d-100  12,000 org miles and a ton of documentation and about $3000 dollars worth of N.O.S stuff for it. the truck is completely original and untouched. here a re some pics it would be a shame to paint it so i was thinking of just clearing it?.  thx bruce

hey jason, the truck was only there on saturday and we bought it about an hour into the show. i hope to have the challenger there next year but a year sounds like a long time but goes by pretty fast,that is my goal finish by next summer.    thx bruce

I get something done every day. Some days it isn't very much but as long as I'm moving in the right direction I will eventually get to the end.   :working:

It looks nice in the pictures, but I guess if it looks real dull you could try a good polish or a clear coat and cut/polish....

I don't think that I would "clear" it. Paint (clear included) is only as good as what's underneath it. "Clearing" over 44 year old paint could create some adverse affects.

In the pics the paint looks pretty darn good for being 44 years old. If you want to preserve the "patina", I would just have someone "clean" the paint up with a good buffing and then have a coat of high quality wax applied at regular intervals to preserve it. Just my  :2cents:
