    Hey Cor, cool roadrunner too man!  As far as possible power plants go, gen3 hemi's sure are cool, but I think aesthetically they leave something to be desired in the b-body engine bay, when it comes to b-bodies, I'd go big block all the way!  Cool project either way!

    I agree with hemiken on the aftermarket front end.  The Original may be welded by drunk employees, but it is a very ridgid construction and looking at the control freak setup, I honestly wouldn`t put that on my car without any form of structural improvement to inner fenders/framerails/firewall area  :2cents:

    I agree....The silver gives the car a very clean look. :drool:

    And I also agree that these aftermarket front suspension systems aren't as "beefy" looking as the stock K frame/torsion bar set-up, but I think that's the point. Light weight, more adjustment and better handling. :dunno:

    As for the Control Freak system my customer supplied for his 71 Cuda. It's totally self contained and operates seperately from the car itself. In otherwords, other then the four K Frame bolts, the system does not rely on the structure of the car for it's support of the weight and suspension. I've seen systems where the coil over shock is attached to the factory shock tower which is in no way designed for the extra weight.

    Don't get me wrong, I don't really even enjoy doing these modifications to an original 1971 340 4spd FJ6 Cuda, but the customer is always right... :smilielol:

    This type of modifications are all new to me, so I certainly don't claim to be an expert. I just found that this seems to be the direction the hobby is heading. :2cents: and I must follow...

    thx again everyone, I have seen the RMS front ends on drag cars that wheel stand every time and there seems to be no issues but im sure they have some sort of cage, looking at some of the reviews that guys have written they seem happy with it. I all ready removed the brackets that I needed to install the RMS before paint and also fully welded the inner fenders including the big holes for the cam bolt access, should help a little I guess,  so I am kind of committed now. I guess ill find out soon enough really hope it will be all good.  thx bruce

    Hey Bruce :wave: , Did you push the rear wheels up as high as they can go in the wheel arch/tub buddy ? I find this the best way to check clearance when setting up a car with a live axle (diff). It certainly looks killer with your wheel tire combo :drool: You have got the sweetest looking Challenger, i can not wait to see those stripes go on too :jumping:
    Oh yeah one more thing, you had better pack some spare undies when you start nailing that peddle to the ground if your talking about wheel stands :poopoke: :roflsmiley: :smilielol: too cool :2thumbs: :bigsmile:

    "Uber crisp?" ... is that like taking "sharp" to the next level? Instead of a ride being "real sharp" it's "uber crisp?" I like that! I'm going to start using "uber crisp" to describe something that is super sharp. Thanks Bart! :2thumbs:

    hey thx again everyone for the kind words, hemiken yes I did run the tires up inside the wheel wells. I have s/stock springs which came on the car but they have the rear to high, I am going to try and remove a spring on each side and see if It will drop it a little. if not I may have to buy a set of new springs somewhere. I don't like the car lying on the ground but also to high is just as bad. thx bruce

    hey, I ordered the dana from Cass today I took brads advise and upgraded to the tapered bearings and the trac-lock along with the drilled and slotted rotors. great guy to talk and deal with, should be about a 3 week turn around. it's one more thing out of the way, list is getting shorter for sure.  thx bruce

    Those are some pretty "tall" looking tires - got a lot of sidewall there between the rim and the ground. I'm sure you mentioned it somewhere in the thread, but what size are those meats you have on the rear?

    Remove a leaf? With the monster torque that 572 is going to be cranking out you may need those leaves in there to try and control spring windup that torque is going to induce. Maybe a spacer between the axle spring pad and the spring might be enough to lower the car to where you like it? :dunno:

    Nice ,  :2thumbs:  4:10 ratio?  I think Cass also has adjustable spring hangers too? If not Andy does.

    That silver looks terrific.  Usually I prefer black over red interior but that red is working great with the silver!

    P.S.  Love the pickup, same body style as my grandfather had.
