I agree....The silver gives the car a very clean look.
And I also agree that these aftermarket front suspension systems aren't as "beefy" looking as the stock K frame/torsion bar set-up, but I think that's the point. Light weight, more adjustment and better handling.
As for the Control Freak system my customer supplied for his 71 Cuda. It's totally self contained and operates seperately from the car itself. In otherwords, other then the four K Frame bolts, the system does not rely on the structure of the car for it's support of the weight and suspension. I've seen systems where the coil over shock is attached to the factory shock tower which is in no way designed for the extra weight.
Don't get me wrong, I don't really even enjoy doing these modifications to an original 1971 340 4spd FJ6 Cuda, but the customer is always right...
This type of modifications are all new to me, so I certainly don't claim to be an expert. I just found that this seems to be the direction the hobby is heading.
