I have a 73 Challenger that is currently being restored.  I've been putting together a few pics and some notes for everyone that I will post later on today.    :)

It certainly will not look as good as yours.   I have limited  :money: with 1 kid in college and another on the way but I've been wanting to do this project for a long time. 
I'm not a mechanic so my costs for engine and paint will be much higher.  I'm not even sure I will finish it but I will give it one heck of a try. 

BTW, love that red too!      :cheers:

hey, called jamie at passon and got put on the list for a 5-speed  :jumping:, going with a hydrolic clutch as well. maybe a while before i get it but willing to wait so car will not be finished this summer for sure.  thx bruce

Question, are the exhaust cutouts in the stock locations? To me they seem closer to center than stock?

hey thumper, the cutouts are in the factory spots i just closed them up on the outsides about 1-1/2" to hide the leaf springs as they have been relocated under the frame rails and are square to the car now. i may make my own tips or see what is available when i get to that point.  thx bruce

Wow! Looks absolutely stunning! What a great looking challenger. The rear shots look like it really means business with those wide tires, and you have the hemi to back it up too.


I want to build one just like it some day.....       :drool:

Knowing that, I can see it now. I had been pondering what was different for a long time but couldn't put my finger on it. Very subtle and looks great. I am planning on dual 3 inch on mine and that is something I will be "modding" with custom SS tips.

TTI makes a nice large single rectangle shape stainless steel tip that would probably work perfect... :2cents:

Hey thanks guys, yeah have been looking around a little for tips the TTIs look to be close to what need for sure. I was also thinking of building my own to look like the stock ones but just a little  narrower not sure how it would look though? . I am going with the 3" TTI  exhaust polished and the thermal coating to match the headers. One thing I'm not sure of is what mufflers dynamax or flow masters I know I like the sound of one of them but not sure which one. I have time as the passion 5-speed will be at the very least late fall before my number is up, so will not be installing drive chain till then. Time to start on the roadrunner!!!!      Thx bruce

here is my attempt at adding a bumble bee stripe with the computer, not the best but gives me the idea i guess.

If you have not painted the stripe yet, my suggestion is to go with a vehicle wrap for it.
My wife works for a company that does major wraps from buses and  trains to race cars.
The color matching can be extremely precise. They also have wraps that are considered removable. A good temporary way to KNOW you will like it.
Good wraps will also last for several years.

I ended up in a strange situation when Keisler went under. I ended up installing the Keisler hydraulics and the American Powertrain clutch. Seems to be working well together. The AP clutch gives a nice smooth slow start for cruises.
