I just started road testing and have more to do. My clutch pedal seems a little low but it works really well. I'm going to try making some adjustments because I'm used to my clutch being higher than the brake pedal.

well just installing some smaller stuff on the challlenger, while i wait for the 5-speed so i started on the roadrunner, installing the u.s car tool stiffining and spring relocation
i did a mini tub and im able to put a 15" wide tire in there but i was considering going all out pro street with a back half kit but 15" wide tire probably is good enough as i will be able to keep the rear seat/gas tank and tailpipes?  thx bruce

The RR sure looks solid. Great way to start a project! Was it that solid when you got it or have you had to replace some metal?

hey thx bmf_ cuda yeah i kinda ruined the garage for alot of heavy work so i rool everything outside  lol

hey brad, the car is really really solid but had typical issues like the battery area, pass side inner fender full of drilled holes? and lower windsheild area so i replaced both inner fenders and cowl i got them from roseville,so much easier just to replace stuff now instead of trying to fix it. I also bought two new fenders and a hood. i was very lucky to get it in that shape as i did not pay very much for it. everything was bagged and tagged very well and all put in plastic crates(bolt & clips all marked and kept together).I am missing the front bench seat and they seem to hard to find, anyway just starting the stiffining kit and the spring relocate and ill also start to blast all the small stuff and get them ready while i wait for the trans for the challenger.  thx Bruce

Last summer at Carlisle my buddy Darcy needed a bench seat for his 68 RR found one for $400. They are hard to find and pricey when you do find one.

Wow that's crazy eh, it's funny because a whole complete interior is not that bad like carpet,headliner,all panels,dash pad and seat covers. At least compared to the challenger.    Bruce

Wouldn't a B-body and E-body bench seat just be a simple switch over and bolt straight in to place ? The only difference would be the stitching pattern i am guessing. Year model dependant of course. Is the right for an earlier B-body like the later 1970 on B-body's

hey ken, yeah im not sure if anything but a roadrunner/gtx/satelite of 68/69 would fit? the bench seat for these seem to be pricey so that would tell me probably not but maybe i will ask over on forbbodys only im sure someone would know, ill let you know what i fould out.  thx bruce

No the B-Body seats are lower than e-body bench seats. E-bodys only had the"buddyseat" bench style if I recall correctly? Found a seemingly knowledgeable vendor at Carlisle that explained the differences between 68-69 b-body bench seats too but I don't remember what it was?

Hmm. I have the bench/bucket in my Challenger and it seems much lower than my father-in-law's bench in his 68 RR. Mine is the bench bottom and bucket backs.
