Who do you guys have your cars insured through?  And how happy are you with the service you are recieving?  Anyone had and claims issues?  Sick of state farm, looking for a change for my chally

Never had to make a claim, started with Hagertys but found American Collector to be 30% less for same coverage.

My insurance agent set me up with JC Taylor. I just got the renewal notice in the mail $152.00 and i`m good for the whole year! I`m in Mass and car is insured for what I had it valued at, if I remember right I think I said $20K. If they are available in your area all I had to do was submit a few photos of my car and answer a few basic questions and that was it. Never had to file a claim with them and hope I never have to!

I'm with American Collectors as well.  I created a poll about this subject a year ago.  I'll post a link when I get home later.

I'm with geico collector car ins. Unlimited mileage, full coverage with no deductibles. Also covers glass replacement etc. $250 a year valued at $20k. They also cover $2k in spare parts you have around the house.

Louisiana has crazy high insurance too.

Thanks for the input guys!  We have really high insurance here too becuase we have a hail storm pretty much every year

I've always had State Farm and have been very happy with them. I have my Barracuda and Challenger insured for a $dollar amount. A few years back I had an accident where the front tire on my Challenger came off while I was going down the interstate.  Could have been ugly, but wasn't too bad. Mostly the front fender. Anyway State Farm was very fair on the settlement for the damages. I was very apprehensive on how they might deal with me on an antique vehicle. I was honestly surprised. The adjustor had owned a paint/body shop for many years and knew old cars. He did an excellent job. I think I only pay about $165.00/per year for the antique car insurance policy. Anyway, no complaints & good service., I don't know much about the other guys, but have heard Haggerty is excellent.

I pay ~$160 with American Collectors Insurance for $28K.   I was routed to them through GEICO.

Haven't had a claim, but don't have anything to complain about.

I believe you have to be a minimum of 21 or 25  for the specialty companies to cover you. I might be wrong. I really
doubt they will cover a 17 yr old though.

Correct, and to get the good rates, you have to proof its NOT your DD (have another car), and its garaged.

the insurance is my big thing, have to find one that can cover a car like this. There are a couple of kids at my school who drive some classics (2 with 65 mustangs, 1 with a 69 mustang, one with a 69 coronet, and one with a mako vette.) I wonder what kind of insurance they have?

You'll have no problem getting insurance,

Unfortunately, it's not going to be the $150 we're paying.

If you're the primary driver, you're looking at $2000 - $2500.

Most insurance companies will cover a old car, I have State Farm at the moment, but I have had a dart am a duster covered by geico, State Farm, Allstate, even mercury, but at age 17, with it being a daily driver, cheapest thing would probably just to call up parents insurance, odds are they will cover it.

Alright. Would it still be in the price range of around $2000 a year like katfish said? Because at that price it wouldn't even be worth it to drive the car until im 25 or whenever insurance goes down for males. (My parents use allstate if thats any help)
