My 340 engine has a casting date of 6 2 73 on the side of the block.
Given the other parts of the motor that also have date castings such as intake manifold, exhaust manifolds how close would you expect these to be to the engine code ??
I'm trying to put my engine back to original (thanks to some previous owners) and want to be sure the date codes are acceptable.
