fuel sending unit picture please
« on: March 18, 2013 - 11:59:46 PM »
Does anyone have a picture of a fuel sending unit from the outside of the tank with the sending unit installed?  My fuel gage reads half full with the tank full.  The gage appears to work as the needle goes down as I use fuel.  It just starts at the half mark.  The sending unit is new.  I am thinking that my sending unit might be clocked wrong.

If your sending unit isn't clocked wrong, it might just need the float arm bent down a little.

i went thru the same thing with the new replacement unit,,i drained the tank then added 4 1/2 gallons of gas,,18 gallon tank,,then pulled the sending unit a few times bending the arm until it was close,,,close enuf not to pull it a 4th time,,i just ran the tank dry tuning the motor, and it read just below the empty mark     but i had to bend it quite abit....
