Sad part is...both these cars have been for sale for awhile and nobody wants to bite the bullet on either one. I truly think that once you price your car near or above $50K you really really limit your market.
I would think both these cars would sell fast in the $30K range.

If Dave's car gets to the 30k range can you please call me first....

Me personally would take Dave's green and white car all day long over the blue one. I had a chance to trade my FM3 challenger square trade for a B5 blue 71 numbers matching, with 4spd, power windows, leather interior black vinyl top,louvers and black billboards. The pic shown below. The guy owned a few nice E bodies and when I went to have a look at his car, his daughter freaked out over mine and offered me the trade. Car was clearly worth more then mine, but like Alan said what is worth more? Matching numbers or curb appeal. In my case I kept the car that was, in my opinion, a lot nicer car.

Ya, I'd take the Sassy Grass one Dave's selling, but the blue one is cool in that it's a rubber bumper car (like mine!). ALthough it should have a painted grille. Black billboard and a rear wing would do it wonders.

Don't think matchin #s is all that big a deal on 340/383 cars IMHO if you already have a lot of other documentation to back it up (like original FT/BS). Now for a four-speed car, I think it helps to have a matching tranny as it does prove more that it's a true- four speed car, which is worth at least $10k more (on hardtops) than autos.

I agree with Alan again. Both cars are very nice, it isn't really a numbers issue as so much how high the prices are for potential buyers. The green car looks so much better for appealing, but both being close to 50k rules out a lot of real promising buyers.

Ya, most of us would rather take a restorable heap for say...$20k, pour $50k into it and 1000 hours of our own time, than buy one already done for $50k.

I myself don't know of anybody. And I don't know of any sane people that would pay 20k for a heap, unless a v or an R was involved some how. If you end up spending the kind of money you say, then your taking a chance on a resale.

Very nice car... A wee bit on the high side, so they'll probably keep it a little longer unless they lower the asking price........... I know all too well about that stuff..........

I really like the interior and the solid blue color...........Oh yeah,,,, it's a pistol-grip.......
