Update been a few years
« on: March 21, 2013 - 12:17:56 AM »
It is all one color now. Winchester Gray. The black vinyl top will be put back on. Glad the body work is over . Still need to wet sand and buff. I had this car stripped to a bare shell and vatted at Redi strip. Then replaced the trunk floor one Q-panel patched the other and patched the firewall before they made replacements. It is a 72 but I have cloned it to a 70. I like the 70 grille and taillights better and since I had to go this far with it  the change was easy enough. Welded the side markers shut. Car has the light package and had the turn signals on the fender. Not sure if I will put them back on. The chrome may look good on top of the fender but odd with the side markers removed. A little chrome with Winchester Gray may just flow with it.    Finally on the put it back together stage. :jumping:  :clapping:

Congrats on getting to the "put it back together" stage! I'm still in the "cut it up and repair it" one myself. Just envious. Enjoy!

One of the best colors!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Well another year plus and time for another update. Headliner installed new Vinyl roof on and finishing up the interior. replaced the rear end with a S60 from Dr Diff 15X10 wheels rear and 15X8 up front.  Getting closer to being at the point where all I need is to build the engine and transmission.  8 years ago it was stripped to a bare shell and dipped at redi strip. taking it apart was a lot quicker and easier then putting it back together. other than then installing the vinyl roof I have done the rest myself in a 2 car garage. replaced trunk floor, quarter panel , tail light panel and more. first time I have done any major body work or paint a car. It has flaws but not bad for at home job.

I took that one at the end of day. I will get one with it out in the sun this weekend if it does not rain.
