I also like that Wheeler Dealers doesn't try to sell me 100 products every show.

Gearz is okay...but every one I see he's doing something crazy (that'd be crazy expensive) and he never seems to actually complete any of the projects.  He is a definitely a car guy before a tv host.

I also like Search and Restore.  It's not the best "how to" show, but I love the positive message, even if I don't always like the car :)

Not exactly car shows, but the vehicles were the stars to me.
When I was very little it was supercar.
A little older I loved rat patrol and the original batmobile.
A little later I watched some dukes of hazzard, but I really tuned in to see barbara bach.
I like watching graveyard cars because it is the only mopar show I know of. Like everyone else I just wish they had a little more car stuff and less contrived drama.

I've always been a fan of the more practical car shows.  Unfortunately a lot of people don't watch them without some drama.  I don't watch Overhaulin' because to me it seems too contrived, with a forced deadline etc.  I do watch Power Block (Muscle Car, Trucks, Horsepower TV and Extreme 4x4) even though Mopars are rare they do offer occasional tips I find useful.  For entertainment the best is U.K. Top Gear and Wheeler Dealers.  Every car that comes in my shop is called a "Cracking Motor!" at least once.  I didn't like Fast and Loud at first but it grew on me.  There was a show on for a bit called South Beach Classics that seemed interesting.

I grew up watching Shadetree Mechanic and those guys got me to go out and believe I actually knew what I was doing when I worked on my car at a young age.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

I don't have cable or dish so I don't get any of those.   I did see "Are You Faster Than a Redneck" when I was on vacation.  I did think that was pretty funny.

Top Gear UK is my favorite currently on.  They are all true petrol heads and love their reviews of exotics, dropping Ford Mondeos, and flipping Reliant Robins.

I miss the old Hot Rod TV (which evolved to Horsepower) when the Chevelle guy was on, and especially miss Lou Santiago on Musclecar.

All the rest now I catch when I can.

I like Pass Time :burnout: cause it's almost "interactive" where you can kind of play along.

I liked Pinks All Out too :burnout:. It would always get me how Ken Herring (spelling??) would try and set the elimination ladder to eliminate the non-GM cars first. Loved that one episode (I think it was Indy) where despite Ken's best efforts a Duster and a Challenger made it an all Mopar final.
Cheers!

I`ll tell you a show i`m "NOT" a fan of! Texas car wars an episode is ending as I make this post. SO far I have watched some clown buy a motorless 70 Dart at auction do a quick restore and flip it which seems to be the MO of this show. This idiot was going to put a chevy 350 in it "cause he already had one at the shop", thankfully one of his employees talked him out of it plus the fact the Dart was setup for a BB.
Another garage doing a resto/flip on a Ford Ranchero these "craftsmen" were beating the frame in with a sledgehammer to make the steering box clear the motor!  :puke:  Plus it has all the usual grab ass bull**** that all these shows seem to think we want! NOT IMPRESSED!

There is a new one called The Car Chasers on cnbc that I just found, more about flipping muscle cars but its kind of cool. I wish they could do a show about regular guys restoring cars without all the top tools and million dollar shop but I guess there probably would not be a big following.Graveyard cars is growing on me but why all the bs drama it makes Mark look like such an jerk.

Ya,that show is all about perfumed pigs-throwing a shiny paint job on a junkyard POS, get it running and driving and sell it for profit.
