Can you wire a thumbwheel am-fm without the speaker cross-over box? Only 3 speakers used and how?

Well after a little trial and error, I think I got it. I think the two channels come out of the radio and the crossover box only blended the third speaker. The radio works two speakers fine. Stereo sound, left and right speakers.

There was a configuration using 3 speakers and a cross over box without the expensive dual pot fader. The crossover box itself is only like $30 and you can make/buy a harness
