Bending neighborhood rules

The president of the neighborhood stopped by today to see what I was working on. He put in an order for a dog house cave and a lawn mower size cave too as long as I don't charge too much.

I think I've decided to cover it with heavy bed sheets, or bedspread and then saturate it with elastomeric roof coating, then shoot it with my sand blaster for texture while the coating is still tacky.

I have built museum exhibit rocks very similar to what you are doing.
I used an A/B mix solution of foam. Worked great.
Mixed sand into the foam mix even.

Now they just use google maps!  I was thinking about building a garage in the backyard and went to the city and when I didn't know the size of my house he just brought it up on the computer . At the time he aslo said that's a nice red Buick you have in the driveway! 

I'm one of those city-types that does the maps & computer stuff.  We had to make sure no cars were in the photos, just in case that nice red Buick wasn't yours when you were away at work!

It just needs a waterfall going right into a giant pool!

When I was bending the rebar I actually made a low spot that would act as a pool and waterfall when it rains. I'm thinking about making a couple of cup areas in it to plant something like orchids

   never thought of that! I notice they block out the licence plates on the cars though.
