Welcome to cc.com Charlie!!  Great place here for all MOPAR lovers!!   Are you sure your engine is RED???  Maybe you should post a bunch of pics just so we can all make sure it really is RED!!  While your at it . .  .you could throw in a couple of the outside of your ride too!!  That would be sweet!!

I would of thought orange but lets see what everyone says!!

I'd say it was supposed to be orange - but hey red sounds pretty good to me.

Congratulations on your new purchase and welcome to the board!!  I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be orange....(but we went with the body color, so what do I know).  Stick around and enjoy this place...after a while it feels like home.

Oh, I agree....we'd love to see some pics of your new baby!

Your engine.....if your car is a "N" code car, the engine should be street hemi ornage. That is a reddish/orange color. This would be the 383 4bbl HP engine. The paint you get from Mopar Performance is not correct, it's too orange. The paint I use is from Dave's Totally Auto...much more correct, but sometimes the nozzels clog on the cans (they may have fixed this by now) Now if you have a Barracuda with a "L" code engine, it should be turquoise. Thats a 383 2 bbl car.

There is also a Race Hemi Orange...for factory race motors...that is a slightly more orange color than the street hemi color.

Thanks guys for your input and I am not sure what block I have yet to determine what 383 I have n block or whatever.I wish I could post some pictures but the car is in the shop being painted black with the true fire flames that Jessie James does on his bikes. In 2 weeks I tore the interior out completely and am wainting for the paint job to be completed. The painter says 3 to 4 more weeks untill the car will be done.I am now recovering the seats with leather covers and redoing the trim which is almost done.I am also doing the motor at the same time.I just bought some eldbrock heads ,comp cam and all :dogpile  the rest of the goodies the is needed.I am trying to build it to run on pump fuel.I will post pictures as soon as I get the car back. The supence is just killing me on what this car will really look like ,But the painter says to trust him it will be outstanding. ;D
