    Where the heck do you live that bodymen are afraid of your car?? Geez, give me a portable tower,a level concrete floor and a tape measure and I can pull it back to factory specs-it`s just metal not rocket science!   :screwy:

    Why can`t they charge shop rate,insurance companies usually want the cheapest rates?I had a buddy who owns a restoration shop pull the frame rail on my Duster for $350 and I didn`t get a discount.If they do use a rack it`s usually 4 hours to set it up and then per hour to pull it.I would guess it could be done in one day so 8 hours x shop rate=$5-600 bucks.

    I'm in el segundo which is basically Los Angeles. I'm sure if I went to a specialist I could find someone but I thought it would be nice to get some local quotes. I was very wrong, but I also had a similar issue when i needed a tow, when I was honest and said it was a cuda it was 100 bucks, when it was a Toyota for the same tow it was only 75...
