Dissapointed with Keisler Customer Service and Tech Support
« on: April 05, 2013 - 09:32:16 AM »
I am very disspointed with Keislers Customer Service and Tech support

I ordered the complete TRM-E5201A  5 speed manual conversion kit for my Auto trans, 71 Cuda

1.  I ordered the above and paid on 7 Feb:  Finally recd the order this week:  I did know upfront that it would be a 60-90 day delay due to b/os, so no issues there.

2.  However, several items are missing in the kit.  Specifically the complete pedal kit  (PAM-00200) and it is missing the mounting block out of the hyd clucth actuator kit

My issue is follow on service after the purchase:  I have no reponses to emails, and I can not get a human being on thier number:  865-609-8187, specifically the ext for customer service or tech help.   I have also left several VMs so far, no response

But I do get new product and newsletters on my email for Kielser products  ::)

Back in 2006 I oerdered a 5 speed for my 68 Vette:  Back then, I had no issues ref customer service or tech help, which is why I went back as a repeat customer

My intial recommendation now is that the product appears to be of continuing high quality, but thier customer servce and tech is poor at best

I just sent an email to thier CEO, Sahi Keisler for help.   Ill let all know when I get in response

Sorry I didn't have something more positive to say.... :sadwavey:

Update

I recd a follow up email about 15 minutes after I established this post from the Keisler CEO:

They will attempt to fix situation asap>  Thats only about 30 minutes total from when I first emailed her with this issue

Just now, the sales rep I had been trying to contact in the first place then emailed me with apoplogies, and said he would rectify, possibly next week

For me its just talk at this time, but at least they are now emailing me

FOr the life of me Icant understand why they even sent the original, partial shipment:  Shipping instructions state do not attempt to install until all parts have been accounted for:  If they arent, contact customer servce asap

Ill let all know when the items actually come in, and how thier tech line atcually assists in the future

Someone probably open the kit and used those parts for someone else who had a missing or damaged part in their kit.The customer service part I don't get.Maybe they operate with the least amount of employees.

"Sorry" is such a bull**** word. It gets used too many times when all Safi has to do is put a rocket up the arses of people in his organization and fix the communication and service issues. He is in deep **** (for Mopar sales) once Passon gets production on his 5 speeds going soon. Heard his story so any times I would never buy from him.

I've not had any dealings with Keisler, but have heard this before on this site (Brad's experience) and other Mopar sites about problems with Keisler customer support. I do hope it works out well for you. On a positive note, I have heard it is a good product, but fitment may not be as easy as described.

My thought is they know they can bend people over the barrel, once the check is sent. Especially us mopar types as our options are the most limited.....

Supposedly, Ill have an update this coming week on the missing parts.  Note:  As someone said already, putting it all together is not a simple, direct bolt on, and direcions are not all step by step with pics.  Same issue on my 68 Vette with a 5 speed.   But all parts are the top of the quality heap>  Too bad the tech/customer service isnt there as well.  You will need dial indicator to center bell housing with input shaft/pilot bearing.

This is why I continue to recommend anyone else , I was contacted once by Shafi to quit bashing his company , but I don't have to do anything he does it all himself , I bought from him only one time & learned my lesson , never again .......

You JUST ordered that kit?

*sigh*.

Jamie's A-855 will be in production soon.  Shoulda waited.  Sure, it may cost a bit more, but worth it over the fiasco you and others has run into w/Keister.
