What is the width of a Barracuda tank?  I can figure the shape and size from the tank straps but need to know how wide it can be built.   Thinking on going with fuel injection so want a tank with a pump inside.

Thanks,
Dan

If anyone can confirm that a cuda and chally tank are the same dimensions, mine is out of the car and I can take some measurements for you today.

Just be aware that the fuel tank shows quite a bit when looking at the cuda ....from behind...
A square looking shiny box might not look as good as you'd like...

I'm restoring my '70 AAR 'Cuda, so I went out to my garage with my tape measure. The dimensions of my tank are: Flange length-26 1/4"L X 22 3/4"W X 11 1/2" Deep. The tank itself is about 1" smaller all around, but if you're going to weld up the seams arou :newbie:nd the edges of your tank, then the flange dimensions should work. Hope this helps. :newbie:

Thanks. Eddie.  That's what I needed

If it looks too out of place. Then maybe I will paint it

Thanks all

If you want to use the factory tank you may try modifying it for the fuel pump. Look at page 1 towards the bottom to see how I put my pump in the tank.

Hi guys, I don't want to get this conversation out of track, but I don't want to start a new topic for my question. Can you tell me how much fuel can be filled into a '71 'cuda tank. I can't even fill 10 gallons in. Is that correct? That would be very small considering the consumption. Thanks!
