8 3/4 rear spring shock plates/brackets.....................
« on: April 09, 2013 - 09:57:13 AM »
I put super stock springs in my 70 Bee over the weekend, but unfortunately had to re-use the traction bars  :puke:  as they take the place of the original shock brackets.

There's a few sets on ebay, but figured I'd ask here as well

From what I understand, this is what is in the ads, so it looks like they're the same for most.....

"This is a set of factory leaf spring holddown pads (shock plates) for almost any 67-72 B Body (road runner,Charger etc), 67-74 A body(Duster Dart Demon 67-69 Barracuda) or 71-74 E body (Challenger Cuda) with an 8 3/4 or Dana 60 rear. They are the same on everything but 70 Challenger and Cuda (which had a lower height shock absorber) and they will work on those cars also if you don't mind raising the car back to 71-74 E body specs (as the factory did after 1970)

This is the plate that the U-bolts go through and the lower shock absorber bolts to. It holds the rearend housing in place."

Anyone who has a set, please let me know.
Thanks

They sell nice ones at Firm Feel...  better than stock....  if your not planning OEM.  The stock ones shock mounts tend to strip.

Thank you for the info lemooreace  , but I'm just looking for a used set at the moment, as I am trying to save my pennies to take my nephew to the Mopar National in Ohio this year.

PM sent

Over on moparts in the parts for sale section there is a set for $65 shipped which is very fair. It also include the u bolts and nuts. They are for sale by Tom the owner of moparts.
