April 12 and its snowing & sleeting

Ugh.  Passed 2 spin outs on the highway.  A lot of raining the road and sleet and snow on top of that.  Conditions were ripe for hydro plaining.

And to top it all off a salt truck just went by.  I usually like to wait a few rainstorms before taking the challenger out.  Now my counter has been reset.

Lucky I got my car out last weekend for a short drive.

We have another 8 ins on the ground and it's still asowing. This Sunday we are in for a blizzard with more snow. We are in a winter storm warning today. WE HAVE HAD SNOW SINCE OCT4, 2012. It's going on 7 months.

We got 20 inches in hours, them had a day off, got another inch, now sleet and snow today, and supposed to get more on Monday an Tuesday.

Here everything is covered by 3/8" of ice. Snow all gone but a few tree limbs down. I hear ya on the "reset counter"  with the salt trucks ....same here.

Got ice here too. Hydro went out last night around midnight. They're telling us it likely won't be back on until 6 tomorrow evening.

It's been redefined as "climate change".  That way, they won't need facts to claim it's due to evil corporations.

Their models may be wrong, but we still need to do away with oil and coal.

A few years ago I got back to Canada at the beginning of June and it snowed for the first week. I haven't seen snow in 4 years but I still get the chills just thinking about it.

The weather was terrible in Maryland Tuesday thru Thursday it was near 90'.
Infact it was 90' in Baltimore.  All of the ornamental fruit trees and forsythia are blooming

Kids have been off school for 2 days now    Just took my dogs for a walk and all the ice falling off the trees in the bush sounds freaky, in fact it freaked out the dogs and they wanted to go home?

Crazy to get snow days this late in the year. 

If my daughter gets any more days to make up, it will put my trip to Carlisle in jeopardy.

Or natural gas. We may actually have an "inexhaustible" supply of it.
Oil and coal too (maybe), for that matter, until something better comes along.
I'm all for it if its better, and especially if its cheaper, but you can bet the market forces involved will make sure its more expensive, whatever it is.

I personally think market forces should drive the supply and demand.  If the majority deems that green technology is better no matter what it costs, that's where they will spend their money.  If they are so worried about the future of the planet, there will be a change.  I don't think we need to be told what to buy or drive, or how to heat our homes.
