MONO LEAF SPRING & SPRING RELOCATION KITS
« on: March 15, 2005 - 10:36:06 PM »
Hello:

Has any one tried the Monoleaf Springs with the Caltracs Traction Bar system.

I saw them at Mancini Racing.

I think I will go with this set up.

Also I was looking for a spring relocation kit that was a little heaver that the one from mopar.
Does any one know of a good place to get them?  I want to go with the 1" kit.

I have a 70 cuda. 8 3/4 rear end. Should I go with the B body or A body rear end?

Thanks

The B-body rear has the spring seats in the right place for the relo kit 44 inchs from seat to seat
so no welding required

Overall length of the B-housing is 3/4 inch shorter on each side too

Your right by the way.. the Mopar relo kits do look like they should be made of thicker materiel

Hi Hemi 5.7 cuda,
You may want to check out www.moparts.com/Tech/Archive/rearsusp/12.html and
then link to the Doctor Diff site for what looks like a pretty stout 1 inch relocate kit.
I think it looks stronger than the Mop Perf piece and puts the springs over the full one inch
instead of the 3/4 inch that the Mop Perf does. Some guys have gotten away with forcing
the spring over the extra 1/4 inch to fit the (pre 1970)b -body rear while using the Mop Perf
kit. I think the Doc Diff setup puts it right where it needs to be if you go the b-bod rear route.
