Tire size for Dana 60?

Hi! I've got 1970 Dodge Challenger RT with Dana 60 rear end. I've bought this car with rear wheels: Weld Racing rims 15x9 4.5 backspacing with 275/60 R15 BF Goodrich Radial TA. Look amazing but driver side tire rubs fender a bit. Is there any way to resolve this problem without cutting fender? Or should I change rear rims to 15x8 with 4.5 backspacing?

First off - It's not the wheel that is the issue.  It's the manufacturing of these cars.  Your rear end in offset in your chassis more than likely.  I've seen it many times and my car is offset as well at 1/4" to the passenger side.  These chassis's are 40 plus years old and have bounced, twisted and creaked over the years giving us thrills.... has your car ever been in an accident?  High horsepower ever in it's life.  Have your quarters been replaced?   Do you have the wheel well trim installed - If you have it and removed it you will gain another 1/2" which should clear.

The only way to correct it is to center the rear in the car.  It's not hard - you just need the right tools.  Do you have any chassis (drag race or circle track) shops in your area?

When we built my Dana we were extremely careful to make sure everything was centered perfectly knowing that the diffs always sit about 1/4" offcenter , I figured I had this beat until I bolted the diff in place & found it was still off 1/4" or so 
 A 275 width tire should fit easily , I have 295 in the rear of my car without rubbing . the extra rim width can cause a problem , using offset rear shackles can center the diff better in the rear & correct the 1/4" offset .

Thanks for answer, guys. I've measured rear quaters, they look the same. So it's really the rear end offset problem. And I think I'll change the rear rims to 15x8 BS 4.5. It should solve the rubbing issue, as lot of people have this setup at rear.

I have 295 in the rear of my car without rubbing . the extra rim width can cause a problem , using offset rear shackles can center the diff better in the rear & correct the 1/4" offset .

My 275/60/15 TA's on 15x8 rallyes are a snug fit.  Did you have to do anything, offset kit, B Body rear, etc., to make the 295's fit?
