Girlfriends dad was right down the street from where everything happened and right before he was allowed to leave and go home he heard more gunshots.Luckily they got him and no one else was hurt.

Getting sick of all these Muslim extremists.   :stomp:

I may be a bleeding heart liberal in many ways, but I'm all for outlawing that insane religion.

I wish they would outlaw ALL religions as they are the reason for many wars and millions of deaths in this world.

TOTAL EMBARRASMENT FOR THE USA POLICE AND federal DEFENCE!!!!!!

Makes me sick how these trained pros are protecting us....USA/CANADA !!

I've been watching this off and on all day,REALLY this guy was in a boat which was only a "short jog away" and already injured they said.....REALLY....INJURED WITH A BLOOD TRAIL?.......GOD DAM IT,WHEN A BANK OR CONVENIENCE STORE IS ROBBED A DOG FINDS THEM IN MINUTES!!!

IF THIS IS THE BEST OUR TAX DOLLARS CAN DO I'M EMBARASSED !!!!

LET THESE VICTIMS OF TODAYS TERRORISM MAKE THE FINAL DECISION ON WHO ENTERS OUR COUNTRIES

LOOK UP IN ALBERTA....."THE FALLIN FOUR"....A COMPLETE BS FUG UP FROM OUR FAILURE POLICE.......IF THEY RELEASED A DOG THEY WOULD ALL BE ALIVE!!!!

THIS MAN HAD DECADES OF VIOLENCE AND PUBLICLY KNOWN VIOLENCE

MAYERTHORPE...FALLIN FOUR

I think they handled this very well this was not an episode of NCIS! Law enforcement wasnt about to send a cop with a dog sniffing around to get picked off by an armed and dangerous suspect hiding out laying in wait. Or put the civilian population at a greater risk than they were in already, anything can go wrong. They will wait and hold back untill the odds of apprehending a suspect are at their most. They knew it was only a matter of time before he was caught, law enforcement have all the time in the world to wait for the best opportunity to take down an individual!
Plus they wanted him ALIVE rushing in with guns blazing will only result in a dead suspect "not necessarily a bad thing mind you" but a dead terrorist doesn`t lead you to other living ones potentially still at large!

 :iagree:

I agree.  It was inconvenient for a huge number of people.  And I can believe that it was traumatic for a bunch of people as well.  I saw the picture of the kid being carried out of the house.

But there was every possibility that this guy could have been wearing a "suicide vest."

So I think they did the right thing in this case.  However, if this became the standard modus operandi, then we have an issue.  And that is a risk, since the final outcome was positive.  We have now sent a message to terrorists that they can shut down large cities and disrupt commerce, which is what they want.

I think the cops/law enforcement must have had a tough time searching house to house.I wouldn't want that job/duty. If I lived there every gun I owned would be loaded up and ready for bear after beeing told to stay indoors as he was on the loose in my neighbourhood. Some knocks at my door I'd be ready. Not a chance in hell I'd give up my guns in that ( or any other) situation either.
I gotta admit I do have a certain level of "distrust" of police/politicians ( been around a few crooked ones) but they handled the situation very well I thought. I fully expected them to fill him full of holes . It would be hard not to I would guess.

I think Boston PD did just fine.  You're talking a HUGE area to cover, so you'd need 1,000 dogs to have found that guy in the boat.

Thank goodness the owner of the boat found blood on it and the heat detector from the helicopter found the guy in it.

Since suspect two survived....I think they should "accidentally" amputate both his legs while he's in the hospital... :dunno: Just a thought...

Not sure why a dog couldn`t track him but trying to cover every inch of a city is almost impossible.

Funny thing is that the older brother died because the younger brother backed up the Mercedes SUV and ran him over and that's what killed him.  The police were cuffing him when he got run over then dragged by his brother...  :screwy:

I saw on the news that the kid in the boat was writing on the cover of the boat when he was hiding how his brother is the hero and going to alah or something.

It seems fairly odd to me that if they were being framed or were innocent of the bombings(sic) that they would respond to questioning by shooting officers by throwing more bombs, some of the exact same style they were accused of making.  That kind of seals the deal right there.

How quickly one forgets our history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_City_bombing

I didn't forget anything.

I could not make heads or tails out of "Timothy McVey/Terry Nichols for one who the most people after 9/11."

I see you went back and modified it where it at least makes some sense. I do not need links posted trying to give me some sort of online history lesson.
