These sick people have been around since the beginning of man it`s just now the technology of guns and bombs make it easy to hurt more people in a short amount of time. The news media is now instant and everywhere so we here about the incidents more often.Still the percentage of wackos in the billions of us on the planet is pretty small. All that doesn`t make it any easier for the victims but it`s just the way it is I guess.

Sad as it may be, I'm surprised this kind of stuff doesn't happen more often.  And on a bigger scale.

You got 310 million people in this country; hard to keep track of all them and prevent this kind of thing.

Chryco makes a valid point with the media though...

A friend just lost his 18 YO son in a car wreck.  He happened to find out on his break when he pulled up the local news webpage on his phone and the story was already online.  The police hadn't even had a chance to call him.

Real sorry to hear about your friend's son.  :(

What happened at the marathon was real bad but Thank God it wasn't worse.  There could have been more people killed, but of course there were 3 too many people killed.  Heart really goes out to the families of the victims.

We were having a birthday party for our 10 year old daughter when it happened and they had wide screen TVs all over the laser tag place we were in.  We had them change the channels because the kids were getting upset.

Some of the media coverage was too graphic to be shown on TV.  I saw lots of blood on the ground but dependeding on what channel you watched I was told by others who saw dismembered people that had parts blown off their bodies.  That's a bit much to show on TV, IMO.  One teenager had to have both legs amputated because of the damage done to his legs, the legs couldn't be saved because the bones were so shattered.

Another bomb did blow up at the JFK Library but thank God no one was hurt there.

I feel terrible for all the victims in this attack. I am glad my brother and his family were unhurt. I just hope we catch the people involved in this and make them pay with their lives! I fear they may be in some foreign country by now and it will take years to track them down. I hope whoever catches them rip there eyelids off, piss in their eyes and make them stare at the sun just for starters!

Jeff,

Hope everyone's nerves hold out.  It's a big city.  Sounds like they are doing all the right things, even if it is inconveniencing some folks.  We all know it's for their own safety, and for justice deserved by the victims and families of the tragedy on Monday.

suspect may be travelling in a
Grey Honda CRV
Mass Plate 316 ES9

Just saw this on local news and I am posting this for anyone who may be in the general area of the suspect as I am. Not trying to create any hysteria!

News is reporting he was a student at U-Mass Dartmouth which is near me, scary stuff I hope they catch him soon!
