Chryco makes a valid point with the media though...
A friend just lost his 18 YO son in a car wreck. He happened to find out on his break when he pulled up the local news webpage on his phone and the story was already online. The police hadn't even had a chance to call him.
Real sorry to hear about your friend's son.
What happened at the marathon was real bad but Thank God it wasn't worse. There could have been more people killed, but of course there were 3 too many people killed. Heart really goes out to the families of the victims.
We were having a birthday party for our 10 year old daughter when it happened and they had wide screen TVs all over the laser tag place we were in. We had them change the channels because the kids were getting upset.
Some of the media coverage was too graphic to be shown on TV. I saw lots of blood on the ground but dependeding on what channel you watched I was told by others who saw dismembered people that had parts blown off their bodies. That's a bit much to show on TV, IMO. One teenager had to have both legs amputated because of the damage done to his legs, the legs couldn't be saved because the bones were so shattered.
Another bomb did blow up at the JFK Library but thank God no one was hurt there.
