I just don't understand the motives behind these Russian brothers.  I mean seriously, what's the point?  What did Boston or America do to these bastrds?

 :villagers:

Not trying to open a big can of worms here, but it is my understanding that they are very devout muslims. It would be my suspicions that their religious fanatacism has way more to do with their decision to ignite IED's in Boston, than their geographic origin.....  0.02

Maybe our Aussie brothers have it figured out, you can visit, no problem. You can even stay and work, but after 6 months, get the heck out.

Well...to be fair, we got plenty of home-grown terrorists.  Timothy McVey/Terry Nichols for one who killed the most people after 9/11.

suspect may be travelling in a
Grey Honda CRV
Mass Plate 316 ES9

Just saw this on local news and I am posting this for anyone who may be in the general area of the suspect as I am. Not trying to create any hysteria!

News is reporting he was a student at U-Mass Dartmouth which is near me, scary stuff I hope they catch him soon!

They have that CRV at the Cambridge police.

My town is in lockdown.  Kinda weird, no cars anywhere, like a ghost town right now.  I grew up in Watertown, I'm in the next town over now.

Jeff, hope your girlfriend's dad is ok.  :grinyes:

The whole situation is surreal.  I was watching the news last night when the MIT police officer got shot.  At the time there was no connection to the bombers, looked like a separate issue.  When I got up this morning we had phone calls from the local police that the town was in lockdown and my office called and said not go to work.  Firsthing I did was make sure all the doors/windows were locked.  Our town is next to Watertown and Watertown is basically in back of my house and if you go down my street 400 feet it's Watertown.

Thank God it's on the other side of Watertown from where we live, on the east side.  Dexter Ave is the area where a lot of my friends lived growing up as I went to the middle school over there.

Really weird seeing the streets I used to walk around as a kid filled with police, FBI agents and State Troopers.  The whole mall area is jammed full of police cars and such as that's the command post now.  All the areas on the news were places I hung out at like the two malls and all the surrounding streets.  Really sad and strange.

You know from watching CNN it seems there are no "Americans" living in Boston?  :dunno:
Everyone they have interviewed  has  funny  names? Lots of "foreign nationals"  with lots of money around so it seems?
Muslim seems to be a common thread too?
After trying for a couple of years (after marrying an American) to try and live in the USA makes me wonder what up with the immigration policies down there? All revolves around how much money you have I guess?

Keep safe Superblue! As this thing drags on I worry if he is making his way down towards me since he went to school in my neck of the woods. My daughter told me she knows college students who know him! The Bastard even went to class down here the day after the marathon bombings!  :villagers:

I think the confusion is you meant to say prior to 9/11 not after?  :dunno:

I think he was ranking them in terms of loss of life by terrorist attacks.

9/11 being the highest death total.
OKC being the second.
