You can put your hand over the Subaru 1/2 if you like.

In that picture the Cuda isn't finished yet. It's missing the hocky stick, hood louvers and the front glass, at least.

BUT: :worthless:

Yellow Fish: The Subaru is a nice looking car, good to see one that hasn't been molested, I woul take the rear wing off it makes the bum squat more and at the same time take away a little of the "rice factor", lovely daily driver though mate.

Cuda looks great too mate.  ;)

i have no problems with foreign cars (because i dont' own one) and the only thing i have about em is sound and when ricers get ahold of them looks..i wouldn't mind owning an STI or something similar because they are cheap and quick and i dont' have the money to own an ebody.

Subarus boxer engine is the nicest Japanese sounding car out, almost mistake it for a V8 from a distance.

Kinda hard to take it seriously with that giant wing.

Ya I know.

Even with owning one myself, if I saw those red lights in the rearview I'd still go WTF!

And, of course, then I would stop.

And, I probably should have posted that in a new thread, but one thread about Subaru's is most likely enough.

You'd have to stop, we have a few of those badboys guiding the highways up north in desert road.  ;)

Them kids are like - " yo' my Moms is gonna' be all like I told you not to get busted by five o "

I know I'm way late into this thread but here I go.....

Newer cars, even "rice burners" can be faster, handle better, ride smoother and start easier but....

People come to see my car becasue I have one of a maybe a 1/2 dozen E-bods in the northern part of the state, it's a rolling piece of history that takes people back to a time of theeir life they enjoyed and most importantly, I have a rocking, pure horsepower, ground thumping 440 between the fenders.

todd383  the 426 would produce 425 at 5000rpm?? i'd have to look it up in my book again to get exact rpm. but the 426 would put out 500hp at 6000..so they did underrate the 426 i dont' know about any of the other motors but its been proven that the 426 made 500hp at 6000rpm.
I have one of those muscle car magazines in which they put a stock 426-Hemi on a dyno (I forgot what year Hemi) and tested it the old way (gross). Since they weren't concerned about insurance companies regarding actual horsepower, the took the engine past its rated rpm hp (5,000 rpm). They ended up with 474 hp. at 6,000 rpm. The '69 426-Hemi made about 420 net hp.

On the other hand the STi has been flawless at 6 months 3k miles.
Wow... 6 months. "Almost" as long as my 35-year-old 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood.
How about giving us another report when your STi is 10 or 15 years old (if it lasts that long)?  ;D

I was really impressed with my family's '70 Cadillac Coupe de Ville... went for 32 years (200,000 miles) with the original transmission with only a rear seal replaced.
The engine, one valve job before we bought it and that's it.

To answer your question, Yellow Fish... Hell No! They would have to either call in the Crown Vics or dust off the old 1970s 440HP Fury Highway Patrol cars to stop me!
